This book was such an exercise in frustration to me. I was constantly distracted by the writing style of the author to the point that it completely derailed my enjoyment of the book. The author seemed like she had a thesaurus open and was using it with abandon in every paragraph. I enjoyed reading this book. I think the writing style probably wouldn't work for everyone, but it has a trad regency feel that I like in a regency romance.Unfortunately, the title and blurb are a bit misleading. RegencyVery entertaining. The play between characters is delightful.Charlotte is content with sitting in the background watching her charges but Benedict sees through her carefully chosen wardrobe and becomes a pest. I know it is an usual theme but it is written with just the right touch of wit and charm to make it well worth the read.
