I liked this book coz it brought out the systems-thinking part of design. Rather than focusing on chasing individual points on a checklist. It would be amazing if more teams could take such an integrative approach to all the work that we do, not just in design and construction, or for green buildings!

I hope that someday, this visionary way of designing becomes the world standard. In 2012, it is absolutely revolutionary, but these changes in the design process must happen. The world operates as an infinately integrated organism, and we must quit excluding the complex needs of our planet from our designs. This book provides a framework for which one can begin to design buildings in a way that gives back to the environment, the community, and the owner. Excellent book!

Amazing way of rethinking the development of a parcel of land as a whole system, not silos of specialists adding their "piece".
