      Now he is called a structural expressionist. I wondered when they could place this genius of unrepeated form into a category. The TWA terminal has been bastardized, along with Dulles, but the St. Louis arch reamins untainted. He definitely was an expressionist, but one of great understanding of function and function's realationship to the 'us.' Unlike Van der Rohe with his sterile campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology, Saarinen created to express the 'us' of our time. Not much more to b [...]
