After all these years, the story-lines appear overly simplistic in the good-vs-evil treatment, and not just a little sexist. But the artwork is still superlative; the exotic alien landscapes, the heroic men, and the sensual women, are all beautifully rendered, and the large size reproduction is justly deserved.

Oddly enough, this book seems less about Flash Gordon & more about the Art of Al Williamson, which is a good thing. if you totally love comic book & comic strip artwork then grab this book, it's beautiful!
