If you have read Deep Blue, this is basically Gen's side of the story with what has captured her focus, Lewis. This read will follow all the major events that happened in Callie's and Gen's. It definitely seemed repetitive since I read Deep Blue however knowing both girls had this going on at the same time makes sense that it would be brought up. Gen and Lewis literally had a love/lust at first sight attraction. When they felt or saw one another near, they felt the magnetic pull. Gen pushed her [...]

What a great book Lewis he's mysterious and well at first doesn't talk much. And Gen well that girl just can't help herself but look at all the yumminess that's Lewis, "my gaze flickers to Lewis, his hair sticking up in the front, a light sheen on his chest from the sun and exertion. His board shorts sit low on his hips, every smooth abdominal muscle visible, including the thick ones that disappear into his clothes" The boy has no sleuth when it comes to Gen: He takes a gulp of water and screws [...]

2-2.5 starsI was not convinced with Blue Crush, I just didn’t get Gen’s point of view. She came across as strong individual even though she thought she is not. For that reason itself I felt that book didn’t connect to me or made me feel anything as compared to Tyler and Mira’s story.Gen’s convinced that her mom is mooching of her BF’s or she is earning through life in not a right kind of way. She doesn’t share this info with anyone even Cali whom she considers as her BFF. But, she [...]

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*I thought that this was a good fun New Adult read. It was exactly what I was expecting when I requested it from the author. I really liked Gen, and I love seeing personal growth in characters and Gen had that in spades. I love love loved when she put her foot down with Lewis. I don't like heroines that are pushovers, and Gen certainly decided that she wouldn't be that anymore. The other thing that really set this book apart f [...]

Thanks Netgalley for ARC3.65the book was good. there were some parts where I tought it was kinda slow but it the end good. Characters were just dancing around at the end but it all worked out. I didn't remember much from book 1 so I was kinda lost.

I enjoyed this book. Lewis is a strong silent hero. He and Gen are a great match as they kind of round each other out. I am surprised at Gen's opinion of her mother, you would have thought that she would have figured out more about her mother than she did. Finding her father was an interesting twist and so was setting Drake straight. I think Gen should have been stronger in fighting him off with all the training she had been doing.

******ARC read in exchange for honest review***"Genevieve, I -- I think I fell in love with you that first night." He rubs his forehead and smiles guiltily. "Maybe it was lust at first sight. However it started, it's grown into something I didn't recognize because I'd never felt this way before. I'm lighter when you're near, happy. You're challenging and wonderful, and so beautiful inside and out, it's blinding. Please, give us a chance. Let me love you." Lewis SalleeLet me just start by saying [...]

Book two in Jules Barnard's Blue series sees Genevieve moving to Lake Tahoe after college and following the break up of her and her cheating ex. There she meets perfect 6'6" handsome mountain man Lewis. Lewis helps Genevieve train for one of the hardest challenges of her life. Can they fight the attraction they have for each other?

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This ChickBlue Crush is the second book in Jules Barnard's Blue Series and can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book and I liked the characters a lot. I hadn't read the first book in the series before reading this one, but I can't wait to go back and read it. This book takes place at the same time that the first book does, but it is about Genevieve and Lewis while the first book is about Cali and Jaeger. I was drawn in instantly with this [...]

“I’m like the creeper magnet.”—GenGen puts the ‘gen’ in gentle, and she’s tired of it! She wants to be tough and have more self-confidence to deal with the unwelcome men in her life like the cheating ex-boyfriend and the aggressively grabby guy in management. And then there’s Lewis—the gorgeous guy with the supposed non-girlfriend. He’s everything she knows she should avoid, because with him, there’d be no way she could protect her heart…“Everyone thinks they can trampl [...]

Jules Barnard brings us yet another great New Adult story in her Blue Series. The second installment of this series features Gen, Cali's best friend and roommate from the first book, Deep Blue. This story overlaps with the first in an attempt to show the reader what has been happening with Gen during her stint in Lake Tahoe. Gen is working in the casino with Cali. She is recovering from a heartbreak that left her doubting herself. When she meets Lewis, she is worried that she is about to repeat [...]

I went into this book fresh from reading Deep Blue(Blue Series #1) so my expectation was high. This one didn't deliver the same punch as the first one. I will say, it was a solid book but the first half was hard to get thru. The second half was AWESOME! Blue Crush takes place in Lake Tahoe. It's a casino town and the casino these people work at is filled with horrible people and even worse people for managers. Gen(Genevieve) is fresh from college living with her friend Cali while cocktailing at [...]

~I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review~Disclaimer: There are a lot of exclamation points and whining about needed the third book in this review. I apologize in advance. My Thoughts*The rating of this book was bumped up half a star because I can’t stop thinking about it.*OK, so I am totally loving all of the contemporary romances I’m reading right now. This is no difference. As soon as I finished the first book in this series I immediately started this [...]

it's official Gen and Lewis are my favourite couple.I really enjoyed the first book in this series but my a long shot Gen`s story is better.I love how she came across so shy and timid in the first book but by getting to know her she's actually a very strong woman and I love the fact that she took part in the mudder and never gave up.Lewis Lewis Lewis how I love you :) I admit at first I wrote him off as a cheating sleazeball which I am sorry about he's a very caring bloke and I love his playfuln [...]

4.5 starsExcellent second book in this series by Jules. I really enjoyed getting to know both Genevieve and Lewis much better. The chemistry between them was off the charts when they met. That never changed. Genevieve got into some difficult situations, and somehow Lewis or a friend of his was always there to help her. I really liked that. Then there was the added challenge of Mira. That one was difficult, not just for Genevieve, but for Lewis as well. He just didn't know how much she interfered [...]

    17. Cathy

Sweet, Sexy, and tough. That is how I see Lewis and Gen in this story. It's almost motivational and makes me want to do a mudder somewhere. Lewis is the strong guy that you want to wrap yourself around and not let go. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to let people deal with issues themselves.enter Mira. The whole relationship between the two is just way past normal and she really needed to get a life and maybe laid at the same time. Gen was a tad bit self conscience and didn't think she had go [...]

Disclaimer: I don't star books.Blue Crush takes us to South Lake Tahoe and Blue Casino, settings introduced in Barnard's Deep Blue debut. In this book, the heroine is Gen (BF in previous book). Gen was very quiet and reserved in Deep Blue, but in Blue Crush comes into her own. She has lots of justifiable guy baggage, but her insta-lust w/ Lewis is hot hot hot, while her desire to avoid him is believable.Lewis. Sigh. So. Effing. Hot. The paddle board scene? The training? DroolsSorry.Where was I?? [...]

This took a little while to get into (I wasn't sure I really liked Gen), but once I did, I really enjoyed it. So happy I decided to stick with it. I'm really enjoying the Blue series and I can't wait for the next installment. The more I learned about Gen, the better I liked her, and I always liked Lewis, he's such a good character. There were a few times when I wished Gen would get over herself and stop using flimsy excuses to push Lewis away, but then her mother would show up and I'd realize wh [...]

I was looking forward to reading Lewis and Gen's story. This is a very readable series with complex characters. I loved it. It was paced well, Gen's personal growth was handled well and I felt for her. Well worth a read.

Gen's summer in Tahoe was not what she expected. She finds love and herself. I loved Gen and Lewis was intriguing. This book was sweet and sexy. I enjoyed this book.

Review to follow. Can't say much right now but I just Beta read this one and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it!

    24. Charity

Lewis and Gen's story takes place on the exact timeline as the first book in the series. I'm giving it 3.5 stars because there were things that really bugged me.Cali and Gen are supposedly best friends, but from reading these two books back to back I feel like the have drifted apart way too much. With the stories both following the same timeline I expected to know and feel certain details in both stories. Book one said nothing about the Mudder, which was such a huge thing in Gen's life. There we [...]

I have read this series all out of whack and I love it. I started with the last book Cocky Prince and fell in love with these men and now I am reading book 2 Lewis's story. WoW oh wow a real gentleman that has to fight his feelings. There is mystery in the book and intrigue that grabbed me and held me. I wanted to shake Lewis at times and other times I wanted to tell Gen to n run!!! YES you have to read the book to know why. Like I said I read this out of order so now I am off to read book one C [...]

Mountain Man by Jules Barnard is a good read. Ms Barnard has delivered a well-written book. I liked the characters, most of the time. Lewis and Gen's story is full of drama, humor, sizzle and did I mention drama? I confess I did love the mudder. NA and YA books I try to avoide I'm old. Once I got into the story I enjoyed it though. Mountain Man is book 2 of the Men of Lake Tahoe Series but it can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.I voluntarily read a free copy [...]

This was a really good book! Gen and Lewis hit it off, but she thinks he has a girlfriend. Lewis is always there for Mira no matter what else is happening in his life. Gen thinks she found a great guy in Lewis, but he disappears for awhile when Mira needs him. Gen also needs him cause she has some life-changing things happening. Lewis finally shows back up, but is it too late for Gen and him?
