Main characters: Braxx & Dr. Molly ReynaudType of Kindred bonding: Beast KindredThe latest novels in the series are inspired by readers’ suggestions. So in the previous novel “Bonding with Beast”, the heroine was a single mother with a kid with special abilities. In this novel “Seeing with the Heart” the female lead is blind woman and I am sure that we all can understand that the title of the book contains spoilers and maybe an advice. In order to spice up things in the story, the K [...]

I liked it, even if I felt the romance itself was a bit uneven. With, Molly, a blind heroine and Braxx, a scarred hero, I really think her character arc is stronger than this. He’s nice enough, but he doesn’t stand out from the sea of broody, damaged heroes I’ve read. Molly, on the other hand, is a good, empathetic heroine who I connected with. The way they separated and the pretty mild reunion could have been stronger. The trials on the other planet felt a bit weird and cringey, but overa [...]

Evangeline Anderson - Seeing with the Heart : A Kindred Tales Novel: (Alien Warrior BBW Science Fiction Blind Heroine Romance)The Kindred Tales Novels are shorter books that exist in the Kindred world. As with all the wonderful Kindred books there are hot alpha warriors, excitement, danger, adventure, suspense, hot sex and a challenging road to climb for that rewarding HEA.The overall plot summary is in the author's blurb and is a great representation of the story. This particular book deals wit [...]

I forgot why I only read the first book of the Brides of the Kindred series. Every single thing is OTT cringe-worthy.

I often wonder where Evangeline comes up with these ideas. She had to have studied how to think as a blind person. From the blurb, we know that Molly is a blind Anthropologist preparing for a mission to study the Ta [...]

I got an ARC through Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review. Commander Braxx carries a heavy burden of guilt over his perceived responsibility for the death of his brother Yarex and because of this guilt he believed he earned the consequences of being alone for the remainder of the days the Goddess would grant him. His guilt was so all consuming that he believed he deserved to be alone and the terrible scars on his face just cemented those feelings. Even his self-centered fiance D [...]

What an amazing story. This is probably one that I find a little more dear to my heart. This was about two souls that were trying to find their way. Molly was one that had excepted who she was but I have to say I feel like she felt love was not for her. For who wanted a blind person, well at least in my eyes that is what Molly thought. Braxx well he was damaged in more ways then one and the pain he carried will just break you heart. I just loved Molly. She was this sexy curvy woman. She had so m [...]

I love Molly and Braxx!!! Molly is a blind anthropologist and she has the opportunity to go study a society of people that Braxx discovered. However, before she leaves her assistant gets some bad news and can't go on the trip. Molly can't go without her because she acts as her "eyes." Braxx is already taken with Molly so he offers to escort her and stay with her during her 3 month study.During this time, Molly and Braxx have to follow the people's expected customs and in doing so they become ver [...]

This might be one of my favorites of the series. Molly is a blind anthropologist, looking forward to studying the people of Tal'os Trenta. When her assistant, who happens to be her "eyes" for the study, ends up at the hospital with her fiance who was in a car accident, Molly has to go to the planet accompanied by a Beast Kindred, Braxx, who not only has scars on the outside but deeper scars on the inside too. They find an instant attraction to each other that each of them works to fight, but onc [...]

I'll admit I was skeptical before starting this book, since for me Novellas tend to feel too short to really get much content, at least in my experience. So glad I was proven wrong. Kindred novels are fairly long (which is awesome) and as a result the novellas, even being only half the length, are still quite enjoyable and filled with good content. Kindred Tales Novellas are brilliant for a read for any Kindred fan, giving something short to tide us over till the next novel comes out.Back to the [...]

How many authors can say they have successfully written and published over 20 books, let alone 20 in one season? The amazing Evangeline Anderson can, and not for one book has the enthusiasm in the story dulled or became less than it should be.Seeing with the heart is a Kindred Tales novel, or for the 20th book in the Brides of the Kindred series. We have two amazing main characters in this instalment with updates from the amazing couples and their children on board of the mothership. Our story s [...]

      >Book review – Seeing with the Heart –>I am an independent reviewer. This book is a Kindred tale and ends in an HEA. Molly is a blind scientist chosen to go to a distant planet to study its cultures and people. Braxx is a disfigured Kindred warrior. He was injured in a crash that took his brother’s life. Ever since the crash, Braxx chooses jobs that are solitary, not wanting to see the pity on anyone’s face sue to his scars. Braxx accepts the job to accompany Molly to the planet be [...]

Another great addition to the Kindred Brides series. Evangeline has a way of catching your attention and keeping you enthralled with the story. Each book in the series is different and this is no different. With each of these characters having their own physical issues, they're more realistic in some ways. This is definitely another that I'll be recommending to my friends and family. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book. Braxx having the scars on his face, and his heart [...]

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.I am usually a big fan of Evangeline Anderson's books however, this one fell short for me. I loved the concept of looking at things differently. A blind protagonist and a scarred Kindred. There's a whole lot that could have been done with this. The problem I had with this book was that it was too fast paced. Sure I like easy reads just like the next person but the timeline usually flows better. Even though in [...]

I was really looking forward to reading a story that had a heroine with a disability. I was looking forward to seeing how she navigated this amazing world that the author had created. Unfortunately we got a little of that then the (view spoiler)[ miraculous cure, so she could see again - something that all blind people want apparently - then at the end of the book she gave up her blindness so her friend's boyfriend would live. Mary Sue where art thou?(hide spoiler)]Even before we got to the poin [...]

All of Evangeline Anderson's Kindred stories are on my must read list. We finally get another Beast Kindred in this tale. The absolute best part of this story is Braxx's shock at Molly's exemption for the draft - it shows just how perfect the Kindred are when it comes to their brides. With so many Kindred hoping to call a Bride, the fact that the Earth has not allowed females with a handicap to register is a fascinating thread that I hope the author will follow up on.This is a Beauty and the Beas [...]

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. I have read all the books in the Kindred series I have to say that this book might be one of my favorite by far. I'm so use to the heroine being so indecisive so insecure and not knowing if she wanted to be truly mated or not it was so refreshing to see that it was actually the hero Braxx with all the issues. Of course Molly has em [...]

Byshoshanahlilahon September 16, 2017Really enjoyed this visit into the Kindred world. I especially liked how she wrote a challenged yet strong heroine. The hero's reaction to her being left out of the draft was all it SHOULD have been, but is commonly not. She was independant, but not too proud to accept help when necessary. One's ability to love and be loved should not be determined by physical (or emotional) challenges. Ms. Anderson has written an entertaining yet respectful tale. Not everyth [...]

ARC received via booksprout for an honest review. Molly is an anthropologist who is blind and is granted permission to study an unknown society on a newly discovered planet. Braxx is a Beast Kindred and a wounded warrior who seeks to punish himself from unimaginable loss. While Braxx is exploring the universe for the Kindred, he discovers this planet. having already established contact, he ends up escorting Molly when due to unforeseen circumstances her assistant is unable to. Braxx and Molly ar [...]

I can't believe I gave this a two. Still the same formulaic tripe, still typos (grabbing her by the "waste" was my fave 🙄), but I think the shorter format minimized those. Also, there were annoying assumptions made (She'll hate me because I'm ugly!) but far fewer nauseating rationalizations for having sex--though we are once again subjected to the deal where they MUST have sex (in public), but at least she doesn't pretend to be prissy about it. I was left wondering why they weren't both cured [...]

    21. Brie

Another great addition to the Brides of the Kindred series. This is a side story which adds more depth to the regular series. We have new characters which have both suffered loss and a disability. Molly has come to terms with her parents loss and blindness due to an accident, but Braxx still suffers from his brothers loss and his disfigurement in his own accident. He goes as her protector while researching an alien species on a newly discovered planet. Between new cultures/customs, steamy encoun [...]

5+ stars. I love these Kindred stories. Evangeline is a goddess for writing such steamy and action filled books. I think I'm addicted to them and can't wait for the next. Highly suggest for any readers who enjoy alien romances. The title is perfect for this story. The two main characters are both strong. She was blinded at 16 in a crash that killed her parents. She grew from it and became stronger and a wonderful person. He was scarred in a crash that left his brother dead. But he hides from the [...]

So good I adore these kindred tales. I've been consuming them as quickly as I can. Molly is a strong feelings are character that has an excellent career, but is lonely and was blinded at age 16 in an accident that left her alone. Braxx is a beast kindred that was in a horrible accident that scarred his face and killed his brother. He feels unworthy of love. Together Molly and Braxx go on a journey of discovery, adventure and most important love and healing. Terrific read.

This series just gets better and better. Braxx and Molly, what a great pair.A wonderful love story with a couple that had such tragedy in their lives and yet come together with unconditional love. Scarred on the inside and scarred on the outside, love knows no bounds.I enjoyed this couple's romance, I believe the idea came from readerswonderful story line. Dr. Molly Reynaud has a doctorate in Cultural Anthropology. This makes me believe she is smart. Yet she missed major culture clues and she went to an alien society believing they would conform to her way of thinking. These are not the actions of a smart person. Because of this, this seemingly smart person placed herself and her "guard" in situations that need not to occur. A major plot flaw for me because I could never imagine Molly doing some of the things she did.
