Good Knight's three little dragon friends are very cold. As he is a good knight, he takes them to the castle so they'll be warm. However, he cautions them to mind their manners because there's a ball happening at the castle. They agree. The only problem is that the little dragons don't know what manners are. They get into quite a few scrapes before Good Knight realizes the problem. Once educated, the little dragons are mannered and polite. What I thought: Good Knight and his little dragon friends [...]

I love the early reader Good Knight series, so I was excited to find a picture book. The story here centers on using good manners. I just think these are so fun to read aloudriously, how often to you get to say 'methinks'?

I saw this at the library and being a fan of "Good Night, Good Knight" and "Get Well, Good Knight" I had to take it home. It's okay but I didn't find it on level with the other two.I do adore some of the illustrations - the horse is wearing leggings and earmuffs; too adorable!Because of the cold, Knight has taken the dragons to the castle. Only there is a ball and he has asked them to "mind your manners." Of course that doesn't happen. The Knight cries "Why aren't you using your manners?" The dr [...]

This is not my personal favorite book, but Charlotte loves it. She likes the characters of the dragons, and the character of The Good Knight. Charlotte is very interested in knights, because she likes that they are brave. We both like the part of this book where the little dragons learn about manners - those are things that can always do with a little reinforcing around here.We have exhausted the sum total of the Good Knight picture books available at our library. I'm going to check out interlib [...]

While this book was a lot of fun I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't directed to beginning readers like the first book was. This was longer and had much more difficult words. A good reader could tackle it but not an emerging one (without a lot of help). That being said my kids thought this was really funny. The dragons are very cute and the illustrations are excellent. There's even a lesson about manners here which I always appreciate.I would have rated this higher if it had been easier for k [...]

A well written story will, as a bi-product, teach a moral lesson--obvious or subtle. The opposite is not always true. My experience with Shelley Moore's "Good Knight" books is that her charm as an author is dependent on subtleties in her writing and in her illustrator. Since this story was devoid of both, this one fell flat for me.

This is a cute picture book about manners that is a good bedtime story pick, especially on a cold winter's night. We have enjoyed the books in the Good Knight series and will look to borrow more from our local library.

The dragons need to get out of the cold, so the Good Knight takes them to a fancy dress ball at the castle, but they struggle with minding their manners and thinking before they act. Lots of cute, illustrative lessons in concepts like"please" and "thank you" for beginning readers.

A kind knight invites three little dragons into the castle to get warm, but warns them to mind their manners. However, "dragons will be dragons" and get into all kinds of trouble, until they learn about manners.

Three cold dragons are invited to the castle by the prince so they can get warm. He warns them that they must use good manners, because he is having a party. But dragons will be dragons, and soon there is trouble. Will they learn to use manners and make everything okay again?

    11. Amy Brown

The Good Knight invites the three dragons into the castle on a cold winter's night but there is a party going on and the Good Knight tells them that they have to use their good manners. They don't know what manners are though and trouble ensues.

I loved Shelley Moore Thomas' first Good Knight bookGood Knight, Good Knight. This one was a great one to tell as a participatory story. This one (while not as good as the first) was a cute story, with some funny scenes, sure to get a laugh. And, those dragons are just so endearing!

    13. Sarah

The Good Knight takes the three little dragons to the castle to warm them up from the cold, but they have to learn to use manners to keep from ruining the ball.

    14. Powers Family

We like the Good Knight series. Fun that there are more! My husband has read this to Nicholas many times always a sign of a good review!

    15. Christine Turner

When three little dragons come to the castle on the night of a fancy ball, the Good Knight must remind them to mind their manners. hcpl
