4.5 starsWhen a book says it's about a pirate turned into a fairy and sold to a slave ship, I just know I'm in for a good time. And I was. It was so much fun.Denny Derrick Dalton is Captain of the La-Di-Da. He's the most feared pirate on the high seas but he's mostly just misunderstood. He's a really good guy, once you get to know him. On trial for piracy, he'll have to defend his actions and convince the jury not to kill him, all the while learning how to use his newly acquired fairy wings, dev [...]

Denny Derek Dalton has a reputation as a fierce pirate. Unfortunately, everything changes when a wicked witch, Princes Fortunata, curses him and leaves him with fairy wings, something no self-respecting pirate captain should have. If that is not bad enough, she leaves his ship taking her brother Merritt, the man Denny that deeply loves, with her. Now he is stuck with wings he cannot use and a depression. If that is not bad enough, his crew mutinies and turns him over to slave ship. But this is n [...]

I'm a bit disappointed and don't know why exactly, except that I wanted to like this a lot more than I did :(It's all very heavy on the humorous and supernatural side, with bumblebee men and fox curses and what not.I didn't find it very sexy either, just *shrugs* I don't know. For me to truly enjoy a story I need to like (better if I adore) the characters (at least one of them!) and both main guys here came a little short on that for me.

Original review on Molly LollyFour star! This was a fun story that made me wonder if Merritt and Denny were going to ever be together. At times the story went back and forth between Denny’s past and current happenings. It made following more cumbersome than normal. However the story is still enjoyable. I loved the characters in the story. They came alive on page and made me want to know more about them. They were each so well developed with very distinctive personalities and their own desires f [...]

This was laugh-out-loud funny. Denny is adorable and the story is fast paced and surprising but shouldn't really be surprised. This author has a wicked sense of humor. I loved the magical court that tries Denny and how mean some of the fairies could be. Only one BDSM scene but it's good. The whole book is refreshing and different and I am still laughing.
