I really liked this book and I hadn't read anything by this author in the past. The story starts off quick and keeps up the pace throughout the book. It is about a young man that goes to stay with his grandmother for a few days out in the woods. He finds out while he is there that his grandmother is a witch. The story takes an unexpected turn about halfway through the book and then it speeds up all the way to the end. It was almost like a snowball rolling down a hill as it had me edgy to the poi [...]

David is a typical college freshman who has been taken from his studies for a few days by his mother and taken to stay with a grandmother who he does not know very well. The weekend begins with David observing an old woman at an upstairs window of his grandmother’s house. David’s curiosity is peaked when his grandmother claims they are alone in the house and refuses to allow him upstairs. After meeting some neighborhood kids, David begins to question his grandmother’s motives and while sea [...]

I got this book from BooksGoSocial in exchange for an honest review.I'd like to give it more stars than the two, because I was an interesting story and one that I think is different than most. A page-turner!A nice, slow burn at the beginning of the story, which sets the mood of things to come. This book has ghosts, witches, family secrets and an unsolved mystery. I read it in one sitting! Recommended for 16+
