3.5 starsI enjoyed this quick read (although it was 63 pages, not 12!) into the faith of Queen of Elizabeth. I felt some of it was "watered down" a bit and would have loved to see a more in depth look into what she believes. Faith, Jesus Christ, and serving Him all are spoken of but there is never a definite reference to His sacrifice on the cross for our salvation.Reading this has given me a lot more respect for the Queen after seeing how she values God as important in her life! There were a [...]

This depicted the queen from the angle of her Christian faith. Borrowing largely on past Christmas messages, it showed her allusions to her faith in God and the power of prayer. Nicely illustrated and an easy, quick read. I would have liked a bit more of an in depth look at her faith but appreciate that with the queen being such a private person, such information might have been difficult to acquire.

A short but encouraging read as I did not realize what a godly woman of faith Queen Elizabeth II is---faith and family is first and foremost especially in her yearly Christmas message where she encourages all to follow the example of Christ and love and serve others.

It was very nice to have a look into the spiritual walk of the Queen and to see the steadfast strength of her walk.

Couldn't help to finish reading it right after I received it. This book is certainly a valuable resource to understand the foundation of the Queen's integrity, resilience, strength and wisdom. She always refer herself as "servant" and make reference to Christ who came to serve but not be served. I am so impressed by the episode of her coronation in 1953, her symbols of the Queen's status were removed - the Crimson velvet robe, the diamond diadem, the necklace, leaving only a white dress, as pure [...]

This short book was written for the occasion of the Queen's 90th birthday and is a beautiful commemoration of the personal life and faith of Queen Elizabeth II, with the foreword written by the Queen herself. The book quotes a lot from the Queen's Christmas messages in which she speaks about her faith in Christ and shows how she strives to live a Christian life. The book by no means covers her life and faith in depth, but it does provide some great insights into the mind and personality and fait [...]

It had 63 pages not 12 as stated in blog about the book. Chapters were short, more pictures and little text. I have no interest in the Royal family but my elderly friend lent of the book to read. So I gave it a go, don't like letting my friend down. The book had some facts about the Queen that I was unaware of such as she employs 1200 people but still feeds her dogs herself.

An interesting look at the Queen's faith. I learned a bit I didn't know and appreciated her attitude through out. She could teach our politicians a thing or two about religious freedom being for all faiths.

Really nicely illustrated look at the life and faith of Queen Elizabeth II. Read it and learn new things about the longest reigning monarch in British history.

An encouraging read about the faith of our Queen and a useful giveaway for around her birthday this weekend.
