Be prepared to be put through the emotional wringer with this series, following the lives and loves of the 5 Carmichael sisters these books had me laughing and crying throughout. I would have hated to read these books as a standalone and I am so glad I read the series as 1 large book, going from Corinne to Daisy, Daisy to Valerie, Valerie to Marie, and finally Marie to Samantha novella as I would a chapter .Following this I actually did 1 large review but here are the sisters books individual re [...]

I found Corinne’s story hard to read. It seems to focus on her sexual relationship and there was just nothing that pulled you in and made you want to know the characters. I enjoy a good sex scene but I get bored quickly when there is more sex that content. I have read other books in this series and I like the series as a whole. I just did not enjoy this book. Everything felt rushed and it seemed like the real story was missing.

Recieved this book from netgalley in exchange for honest reviewI was drawn to this book from the blurb and found the steam factor in this book to be high. the love scenes do overshadow the story line which can cause the connection to the characters unrealistic at time. it was however a satisfactory read.

This is a review for the entire Carmichaels Series by Charlotte Penn Clark.First up we have Corinne Carmichael. I'm not gonna lie, her story is a little hard to get into as stories go because there didn't seem to be much to it. Her story is very sexual in nature so her relationship with Paul seemed to be all about sex. Or at least that's what we were presented with. So, not my favorite, but moving right along because the series is actually quite good as a whole.Next we have Daisy Carmichael. Ver [...]

I received this eARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This in no way alters my opinion of the work.I was hoping this would be a fun, fast, and flirty book. It was mostly just fast. I found myself speed-reading through the sex scenes because they just did not interest me, but unfortunately those scenes made up 90% of the story. So basically I ended up speeding through the whole thing. I believe this is one of the main reasons why I had such a hard time connecting [...]

Para leer la versión en español visita: blogbetweenbooks/ To read all my reviews please visit: blogbetweenbooks**I received a copy through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**3.5/5 starsSo at first, the story was great, I mean, there was a really good chance that I was going to like it, but then I don't know what happened, all the facts seemed too fake and mostly forced, and at the end the whole story lost its path for me.This story tells us about a girl with a modeling career for the [...]

I received this series as an ARC for an honest review, I have to say I had a hard time getting into the storyline. I think the author has a great idea to work with, but almost had a hard time putting those thoughts onto paper. We have 5 sisters who are very close, they also come from a prominent family as their dad is in politics and decides to run for president. Each sister also has a gift or something they are known for or very good at, may it be a sport, art or vision. Each story was the same [...]

A substantial plot poorly executed.I expected this book to be a light, easy read - a welcome change from all the 300+ page books I've been reading lately. Instead, I got what should have been a 400 page novel stuffed into 150 pages. It was like watching an out of control bullet train. Everything moved so fast, it was very hard to connect with the characters and really feel for them. It's really sad, because there is a decent plot and characters that intrigued me. I wanted to know more about thei [...]

Corinne’s father had political dreams but Corinne is rebelling against them. Corinne is the oldest of five daughters. Corinne wants to be independent of her family while in college and decides to try modeling. There she meets a photographer named Paul and Paul makes a comment in French and is surprised when Corinne answers him.First they become friends then Paul and Corinne decide to take it to the next level. Then her family demands she stop modeling so she wants to do one last photo shoot . [...]

I was provided a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book didn't really thrill me. For one, it was a lot more sexually graphic than I was prepared for, and I ended up skipping the sex scenes. For another, I didn't really get the sense that Corinne and Paul had such a deep connection when the majority of their relationship for the first half of the book is literally just them having sex when they're actually together. I guess I'm not exactly the target audience [...]

I received this book from netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. I started this book but I just could not get into it. I'm somewhat picky about my na books. I was just rolling my eyes from the very beginning. The rich girl who just wants her parents to accept her and then meets the boy of her dreams and (I'm assuming, I didn't get this far) that he helps her with her family issues and everything gets fixed at the end and there are some sexy times in the middle is just really overdon [...]

I received a copy from NetGalley and Victory Editing in exchange for an honest review. I really wanted to like this book. The story had a lot of potential, however, I felt it was lacking any real depth. The characters did not come across as genuine and the emotions throughout felt false and forced. When I read a book like this, I want to fall in love with the characters. I want them to be my best friend and my lover. I want to know them and grow with them and experience everything they're going [...]

I loved all the wonderful emotions that were so accurately portrayed of the excitement and development of a new romance into something serious and meaningful and the impact of real life intruding on their romantic cocoon. Without giving any spoilers away there were too many negative storylines though in one book set over a relatively short period of time and so slightly unrealistic. I also thought the ending was very abrupt. 3 stars from me

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley for an honest review. This book just fell flat for me. I wanted to like it and the characters but I couldn't connect with them. I found Corinne to be a little spoiled rich girl. I did enjoy reading about her sisters and found they added to the story but it wasn't enough for me.

    16. Carolina Godinho

I was given an ARC in exchange of an honest review. This book fell flat. Though the blurb was nice, the story itself was lacking. Lacking depth, lacking a real connection between the MC, it was awful. It felt forced and false. It´s a real sad thing to say about a book, when the author put so much to write. But, unfortunately, we read a lot of this kind of book until we find a awesome one.

    17. Emily Sarah

I wasted 4 hours of my day on this book. It was a cute plot but didn't amount to anything. This book is garbage for your mind.
