4 Warrior Woman StarsDragon Knight's Shield the 4th book in the Order of the Dragon Knights series was hard for me to rate. See I loved loved loved the heroine Deirdre. She was so kickass, sassy, and brave. A total warrior woman. I loved the plot and the continuation of the on going story. What I didn't care for was Angus. I didn't hate him but I didn't like him. He was stubborn to the point of being stupid and putting everyone in danger. Because I didn't care for Angus, their love story was jus [...]

Another absolutely marvellous time-travel story. I love this series. Deirdre Flanagan is a successful author. She has trained in lots of different forms of martial arts, only for research purposes of course. Now she is off on a tour Ireland and Scotland that her friends bought her for her birthday. The highland mist will take her further than she thinks. Angus MacKay is a Knight on the tourney circuit , but rumours of evil stalking his homeland will draw him home. He has a small advantage when h [...]

Having failed his brothers and his clan, Angus MacKay fights the darkness of despair wanting to claim his soul until he takes Deirdre captive and his the fire dragon inside him roars to claim the one woman fate has destined for him in this pulse-pounding paranormal romance. I was flabbergasted at how well Mary Morgan fit Deirdre’s character into the Medieval Scotland culture, and she was the perfect heroine to Angus’s hero and since I don’t want to give too much away, I’ll stop there and [...]

Ms. Morgan’s writing sizzles from the first page, sharing Angus MacKay’s desparate plight sliding into the abyss of self-loathing. He hated what he had become and certainly couldn’t ask forgiveness from his brothers, even if they were still alive. Were they? His heart yearned for his home, Urquhart, yet he could not return. He was to blame for it all, the elder brother who should have been able to control all the forces. He hadn’t taught his brothers well enough and then the battle ended [...]

Oh I so enjoyed this story so very much. It is well worth the price. I've read all of the Order of the Dragons, and I'd say to me this is the best one of all. I know this sounds so cliche'; but Mary Morgan yes, you have done it again. It is very well written.

In a sense I was a little eager to read this fourth book in the order of the dragon knight’s series by Ms. Mary Morgan and read it a little quicker than the third book and yet the second book is still my favorite since it has one of my dream book boyfriend’s in it. Ms. Morgan sure doesn’t disappoint me with her wonderfully intricate masterful way of telling a good story though. The book is also filled to the brim with magic, big brawny handsome Scottish highlanders, Scotland, strong beauti [...]

did not finish.i tried ya'll i really did. i have a soft spot in my heart for scottish romances. and for time travel stories. and for stories with the fae. and anything to do with druids. but for all of that, there needs to be a compelling story, intriguing characters, and a believable romance. after reading 47% of the book, i still had not found any of those things. the book started slow. it introduced a ton of characters in a short amount of time. (do i need to remember morven, murdock, egan, [...]

I absolutely love the cover of this book. Angus MacKay just may be my new book boyfriend. The shield is stunning, and in his hands it is magical. (sigh)Dragon Knight's Shield is the 4th book in the 'Order of the Dragon Knight's' series. This is Angus MacKay's story. Angus is the eldest Dragon Knight brother, and he blames himself for his sisters death. He feels he did not teach them control, which lead to their sisters death. Angus is the oldest of his family and as far as he is concerned he is responsible for the death of his sister and the downfall of the Dragon Knights. He is approached for help in ending the evil that is plaguing the land, the druid Lachlan and he agrees because he has a score to settle with Lachlan. Angus was the leader of the Dragon Knights. That was until his sister was accidentally killed by his brother scattering the brothers. Angus has been fighting in tournaments the years since this has happened. When a group of druid warriors approach him on going back to Scotland he is hesitant but agrees. If you want to be swept away from all the modern day noise, then Dragon Knight's Shield is your ticket. Ms Morgan weaves a powerful story of a modern day woman, Deidre Flanagan who is an expert in black belt and handling a sword. She uses her skills to write believable novels, but all that changes when she takes a trip to Scotland for her birthday. Wandering into the mists, she is transported through time to 1209 and comes face to face with Angus MacKay. Angus is a tortured Highlander believing [...]

Wow, Mary Morgan has done it again. No one makes time travel quite as enticing as she does in her Dragon Knight Series. Dragon Knight's Shield is book four in the series. Ms. Morgan does give enough background in each book to make them a stand-alone book. However, if you read one of the brother’s stories, you would want to read them all. So I had been waiting somewhat patiently for big brother Angus to have his story. No embroidering-sitting-at-home woman for him. No destiny has a much more co [...]

Ms. Morgan does not disappoint with this fourth book in her Order of the Dragon Knights series. Dragon of the Shield is the story of the eldest MacKay brother, Angus MacKay. He feels so much guilt and shame that he distanced himself from his family. He is not sure redemption is even possible in his case. In a battle, when he sets foot on Scottish soil again, he comes face to face with an apparition in the mist, who will change his life.Deirdre Flanagan is a writer who always takes her research v [...]

Mary Morgan’s Dragon Knight’s Shield was my introduction to the Scottish historical genre. She throws in a bit of magic and time travel, which makes this a great read in my book. Of course, I read the books out of order, but still was able to follow the story without a problem. The hero and heroine are sexy, strong and entertaining. The setting of land and time whisk you away to a place medieval and modern time. The dance between past and present is intriguing. The banter between the characte [...]

I enjoyed the "Dragon Knight's Shield" by Mary Morgan. Deirdre lives in San Francisco in 2015 and just turned 30. She is an author and receives a gift from her friends to take some time off and go to Ireland and Scotland.Angus is a Dragon Knight warrior in the 13th century. He has been wandering around away from his family because of a tragedy. He ends up being recruited by other legendary warriors and learns that he is supposed to finish his journey, but he balks at this information.Deirdre and [...]

I love this series!Aaahhh the final Mackay brother :). Angus was your typical Mackay but a lot more accepting of things and a little sexier because he's the oldest and laird, so enough said. I really enjoyed Deidre! She was badass, she could take out any of the men and could go toe to toe with her Dragon Knight. And since Angus witnesses this for himself right when they meet there's not much of that he-man your a woman so you mustn't fight, even though I know you can take on any one of my men cr [...]

Another awesome novel!Mary Morgan always manages to amaze me with each novel in this series. I am so taken by the beauty in her stories. The characters are funny, witty, sexy and strongd that's the hero and heroine. The mental images I get of the land and the time just make me sigh. Angus and Dierdre must jump through some pretty big hoops in this installment, but they do it together. Of course, that's after all the hysterically funny banter between them. Battles are fought, as usual, but all th [...]

Another great readAngus and Deirdre's story is just as magical as the previous books in the series, maybe even more. Loved the way Ms. Morgan portrayed Lady Deirdre as a kickass heroine who knows how to take care of herself and Angus found his match in her. Their journey to HEA is perilous and with quite a few twists. It portrays that love indeed is a power that can heal and strengthen, also that fate has a way of getting its own way. Great read! Looking forward to the next one.
