The wonderful and funny conclusion to the Dr Matilda Schmidt Story.Having loved this series from the beginning I was both happy and sad to read this final book but like all the others I devoured it from the very first word to the very last. I read part of it while on the bus and had to try very hard not to laugh out load during certain moments. The story starts with Matilda find out its true what her mother told her Undeadly - she is pregnant but who is the father. To add to the stress - the blac [...]

I bought this book through the Kindle Store. I am a part of The Review Team @ The Paranormal Bookshelf.Category: multi-genre, paranormal, humor, 18+Spoilers: NONEBook #7 in The Case Files of Matilda Schmidt, Paranormal Psychologist SeriesAs this series comes to an end, I have to say that I am going to miss these characters. I am not going to spoil who Matilda picks in the end, just know that it does make you shed a tear or two. The author did a wonderful job in bringing all the loose ends toget [...]

This is the last book of the series and I am really kinda sad about it because I just did not want it to end. I would recommend you read all the books in order to enjoy them more and get an understanding of how far our leading Dr has come and who all the characters are. I have been a fan of Cynthia St Aubin for awhile now and I absolutely loved her Matilda Schmidt, Paranormal Psychologist series. When I read one of her books I know I will be entertained, I will laugh out loud numerous times, fal [...]

Unexpected ending to Unexpecting!I have loved this series since page one. This last installment is no different. The author packed this book full of emotion that erupts with each turn of the page. As expected, I laughed and then I cried and then I laughed more and finally cried more. I felt like Matilda on a pregnancy induced rollercoaster ride of emotions, but I loved every minute of it! I am so sad to see this story come to a close. I am, however, looking forward to seeing what this author has [...]

Okay where do I start? Well, I LOVED IT!! Cynthia has done it yet again and created another great novella. I will not spoil the surprise but this definitely is a great read. I could have done with some sharing but other than that if you are looking for a great steamy, fun, read then look no further. Give this series a shot!!

While I am sad to see Matilda's series end Cynthia did an amazing job of wrapping up her story. I love this entire series and while i won't give any spoilers, GO TEAM ___________! Funny, snarky, laugh out loud amazing! Thank you Cynthia St. Aubin! I look forward to seeing where we go next. I recommend this series to anyone who needs laughter and giggle-snorts.

    7. Kristine (A Cozy Booknook)

I loved this book as much as the others in this series! I laughed out loud at some of the predicaments the characters got into. An enjoyable way to spend the evening! I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next!

There was a whole lot of back and forth in this story, a lot going on, and for the most part it was enjoyable. (view spoiler)[I just didn't like who she ended up with, or the fact that he cheated first was ignored. I don't care if he was on some kind of drug.(hide spoiler)]

The EndA little disappointed in the end. It was a hapoy ending but she ended in with one and i was kinda hoping for a #whychoose option.

    10. Amanda Miller /A Bookaholic's Fix: Feeding the Addiction

It is funny and witty, just like all the previous books. Santa is off the reservation, partying it up in Vegas with Crixus and with the help of an elf, who I'm pretty sure has a bizarre form of OCD (it's the chimney thing), and hitman Liam, Matilda has to try to get things back how they are supposed to be without letting Crixus or Liam know about her condition. Liam knows something is up but he misreads the symptoms- leading to some pretty entertaining dialogue between him and Matilda. There is [...]

I have so enjoyed this journey, had the time of my life meeting Matilda and all the fun filled madness that went on in her life. This is especially enjoyable because everything comes together with this final but brilliantly written ending. I'll miss all the adventures that come flying, popping, plopping, or bursting into her office, each with their own brand of madness and mayhem. But at the same time I am overjoyed with the outcome, things turn out better than fine for our favorite paranormal p [...]

UnexpectingCynthia St AubinMorning sickness, a blackmailer, and the reindeer want a dental planI loved the return of so many characters in this final book of the series. I was worried I would cry, but thankfully that was not the case. This final book answered all questions I had from the series, even how the tato mens came to be.The character development was well excellent and I was able to be pulled into their world and become a part of it. What an awesome ending to a magical series. I can not even find words to describe how much I have enjoyed reading these books. Cynthia is not only an amazing author, she is a beautiful person that makes you feel good just by talking to her. From her first book, she become my favorite author. I know this is suppose to be a review about Unexpecting, but I just can't find the words. It was full of surprises and laugh out loud moments, and I couldn't imagine it ending any differently. Thank you Cynt [...]

Love the snappy sassy Dr Matilda!! I too will think of a thought only to find out I spoken it out loud to my embarrassment. This book made me giggle to the end. And I enjoy these quirky, funny, and out of the ordinary romances. Characters are well developed, and though this book is not the first, there is enough explanation, of the background of the individuals to keep me interestedenough to want to get the others to read more of them. Thanks for the giggles!!Makes the commute to work a bit more [...]

Cynthia St. Aubin has the most verdant imagination of any author I have ever read. Her unique way of meshing together fairy tales and Greek Mythology is nothing short of genius. Seriously - Poseidon is Santa Claus, can you believe it?!?! The world she has built, while insane in the best possible way, is exceedingly clever. I have read many great PNR and UF authors, and St. Aubin is in a class by herself. This series has secured my undying loyalty to any future projects she may penhell, I'd even [...]

Another hilarious read by Cynthia St Aubin and the end of her amazing series. This part starts with our dear Dr. pregnant but who's the baby daddy? While she's trying to figure out how to handle this new development she's called upon to help an Elf find Santa and help him. What happens next has you laughing out loud and meeting up with loved characters from past books. I'm sad that the series has ended but can't wait to read what this author comes up with next. I do recommend reading the series [...]

a perfect segueI put off reading this forever because I couldn't handle it. I still cried. I still can't believe that the past year brought me so many laughs and tears at the hands of Cynthia St. Aubin. These adventures were insanity at its finest. The characters were a load of whack jobs. And I loved every minute of the wild ride! I cannot WAIT to see what this lovely lady does next!

    18. Kiki Sidira

The title describes the book from the beginning to the very end!!! Cynthia, puts us through many twists and turns, which we do not see coming. But instead of giving us a dull end, she manages to write a new beginning!!No! she does not have a clifhanger, but something even better!I am sad to see this series end. For a new author, Cynthia has come a long way since she first started with Unlovable and I am so glad I got to read her books!

    19. Brenda

Loving and laughing,a lot!Matilda and Liam and Crixus oh boy what a triangle and now a baby? I can guarantee that by the time you read the last chapter your cheeks will be sore from laughing and wet from the odd tear slipping out and well love will be on your mind .Great story as usual from Cynthia ,never read a bad one yet. Oh yes, it will make you want to go to Vegas just in case .

    20. Marcy

Everything I hoped it would be!This last installment of Dr. Matilda Schmidt was what I hoped it would be. It answers all of those questions that have been hanging around, including will it be Liam or Crixus? (I was very happy with that answer!) As Matilda goes off into her happily-ever-after, I can't help but wonder what amazing craziness Cynthia St. Aubin will come up with next! Hopefully we'll find out soon. :)

    21. Melissa

Once again the bumblings of the Dr will have you laughing out loud, while mourning the end of this fantastic series. I don't know how Cynthia comes up with these stories but I would imagine she is an extremely fun person to have at a party. I can't wait to see what she does next, but I'll definitely have to reread these on days I need a boost.-Melissa G ;-)

    22. Debs Krulder

A most excellent end to a series but I hate to see the series end!!! I loved this book as much as I've loved this series!!!! Thank you Cynthia for the great reads!! If you haven't read this series. get to it!!!! Giving them as gifts this year!!!! Looking forward to new adventures

    23. SB Morales

I love this series!! Its fun and sexy! I got to see some of my favorite characters pop up in this book. Matilda has a bun in the oven and needs to figure out who's the daddy!! I loved the ending. A bad boy doing good is always my favorite!! If I'm feeling a little down I know I can pick up one of St. Aubin's books and will be smiling and laughing in no time!!

    24. Marsha

Unexpecting by Cynthia St. Aubin is a very funny read. The entire series is one laugh after another. But the stories and characters also become so real. I am so sorry that this series ended, although the HEA is terrific. It could have gone on forever and I would have continued to follow.

    25. Crissy Sutcliffe

i have loved every book in this series, but this one is for sure my fave by far!!! I found myself laughing quite a bit throughout this book and i love a book that can make me laugh! Cynthia is an awesome lady and writer and i cannot wait to see what she writes next!!

    26. Curly Carla Celebrity Readers

Great ending to a series. This series was witty, sarcastic and she used big words in a way that didn't make me feel stupid. Her metaphors in this series were amazing! Highly recommended for a fun, fast read.
