I enjoyed reading this book of how two people dealt with a loss from Christmas from the past. It is about a family whom lost their daughter. Their adult son was still having problems with the lost so wasn't coming up for Christmas again to visit his parents cause it brought bad bad memories. However the mom and dad of the family got the daughter's best friend to come for Christmas this year. Dealing with all the emotions of coming back to the house that the two siblings were brought up in and th [...]

When is wet and windy outside, snuggle up on the sofa, with your duvet and the heating on, your mug of cocoa by your side and read this book. This book is about learning to love and feel again after the tragic death of a sibling. Death is never a good subject to write about but this is done so sensitively. Nick's taken the death of his sister hard, so hard in fact, that he is in a dark place where nothing matters anymore. The Christmas season is upon him and he just doesn't care. He has no intere [...]

This novella was sweet, tastefully written and brings you into the holiday spirit! Claire is called home by Mellie, her deceased best friends mom and it forever changes her.Nick is asked to come home for the holiday by his parents and little does he know he will be forever changed. This was a sweet novella! It will warm your heart and soul with Christmas nostalgia. Everything you could imagine for a remarkable Christmas is included in this book and more that will jolt your heart even now when it [...]

A Little Bit of Christmas is a sweet story about healing and family and love. Nick and Claire both suffered when Nick's twin sister - and Claire's best friend - was killed on Christmas Eve. Three years later, his mother invites Claire for the holiday. Will her presence heal them both, or is the secret she's carrying too much to handle? This short novel has a big heart. It also has romantic moments by the fireplace, a couple who've always been a little bit in love, and very well-decorated cakes! I [...]

My heart broke for Nick trying to come to terms with his loss. It must be one of the worst things in the world and the holiday season just makes everything harder to deal with.Claire has her own little secret and I was worried for her that things wouldn't work out too well for her.The thing about a Ms Newton book, is you know that you are going to be bowled over by the romance and you're going to be encased in a warm blanket as you read about great characters.Christy Newton has good old fashione [...]

My attention was immediately caught and intrigued by the beautiful cover on this amazing story. It definitely made me want to read. I snuggled up with a warm mug of hot chocolate and I was lost. There was no putting this one down. Yes, it is a quick read but that wasn't the reason. I was completely lost and engrossed in the storyline. It was so full of emotions and heart wrenching pureness. Characters to fall head over heels in love with. Their personalities and interactions are so well written [...]

This was a delight to read. If you ever need a quick read to remind you that no matter what goes on in life, there are always people around you who care; this book is a great one. We don’t always make the right choice, just the feels right, right now choice. I like how Christy Newton uses this story to show the readers a great truth, family is love (not blood). I would have loved getting to know more about them, their past, and the things that bonded them together so well.

Christy has released several books these past two years, including her latest one, A Little Bit Of Christmas. I was fortunate enough to read a copy of this book yesterday. As she has done in a couple of her other books, Christy tugs at your heart strings with her realistic characters who undergo terrible losses and rise above them. This short novel is the ideal quick Christmas read when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of holiday activities. Well done Ms. Newton.

This Novella is a perfect Holiday read! Christy Newton has a way with words and this novella was no exception. I loved Nick and Claire's story, it is emotional, heartwarming and sweet. It's a great short read that doesn't leave out the emotions and the journey that sometimes lack in a novella and it will leave you with a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys a sweet romance pick me up to read during the holiday season.

This was a sweet warm Christmas story full of love and healing. What do you do when you lose someone so important to you on Christmas? Do you go on with your life like nothing has happened or do you hide away hoping to never feel again? Two people who need to heal find that sometimes the things you need were tight there in front of you the whole time.
