Killing Matt Cooper (Book 1) and Killing Sam Knight (book 2) are the stories of a serial killer who finds love. Intriguing right? Book 1 will no doubt gut you. It's sinister on a whole new scale, but you won't be able to look away. You just have to know what this guy's deal is. You have to understand the why of it all. Book 2, the stakes are higher. Things are a lot more frightening. The twists & turns are dark, heartbreaking, and just a complete mind screw. It you can handle this level of da [...]

This is a dark and disturbing series where the main character is a serial killer. Fearlessly written, the author holds nothing back. You are taken into the killer's sick and twisted mind. The first book reads almost like a diary as the killer tells us how and why he kills. In the second book, he is no longer working alone, and he is hunted by another psychopath. I was glad when the second book came out because the first definitely made me want to read more. It's messed up, it's dirty, but it's i [...]

THIS BOOK HAS BOTH BKS #1 & #2 AND THE START OF BK#3. I ‘VE REALLY ENJOYED THIS QUIRKY SERIES BEING A LOVER OF ROMANCE, EROTICA AND MURDER (yeah strange reading taste but my favorites). I THINK I LOVED THIS BECAUSE IT HAD EVERYTHING I LIKED IN ONE BOOK BUT BOY IT WAS NOTHING LIKE I’VE BECOME ACCUSTOM TO READING. THIS IS ONE CRAZY BOOK, SINCE I LIKE THE TV SHOW "DEXTER" I DECIDED I WOULD READ IT. THIS BOOK AND DEXTER, ARE ABOUT SERIAL KILLERS THAT’S WHERE THE SIMULARITY ENDS. I KNOW I'M [...]

Killing Matt Cooper and Killing Sam Knight are the stories of a serial killer who falls in love with the FBI agent assigned to find him; can you even imagine? For as odd as this all sounds, this story is incredible. It’s a dark tale (which I LOVE) of a troubled man scorned by his one love. He has made it his mission to rid the word of women who are unable to treat a man right with true love’s kiss. Is it possible to love such a man? Is it possible for such a man to find happiness? The compil [...]

A must read for fans of crime dramas and serial killer shows. If you ever wondered what an episode of “Criminal Minds” or “The Following” would be like from the killer’s perspective then you came to the right place. This series of masterfully written novellas will grab you and hold you. Not for the timid reader the author, John Cassian pulls no punches. His protagonist killer is unapologetically sick and twisted, but strangely likable. It is riveting and dark, but lightened with just th [...]

If you love reading a good murder mystery and all the suspense you can handle, you'll love this series. In Book One, Killing Matt Cooper, you'll understand how this lovable serial killer, which I know you're not supposed to like nor love, but you will not be able to help it. We learn what makes Sam Knight tick and how he came to be, and where he's going to go.In Book Two, Killing Sam Knight, the saga continues as to why Sam has the urge for killing, and he gathers his strength from an unlikely s [...]

The Knight Chronicles isn't usually my kind of book, but this one may make me rethink the genres I'm interested in. This compilation of two novellas takes you deep into the mind of a serial killer and is told in his point of view. This makes these two books unique and a lot of fun. You find out how he becomes the way he is and face his inner struggles right along with him. The best part for me was that he is actually likable and you don't see that often in stories about bad guys. The stories are [...]

The Knight Chronicles by John Cassian are definitely dark thrillers. Each book by itself is scary enough but the two of them together is more than I needed. The books tell the story of a serial killer and his obsession with a female FBI agent who in turn wants him to teach her to be a serial killer. The plot seems unreasonable and unlikely to really happen; but the way in which John tells the story makes it definitely believable. His use of real events and names helps make the book more realisti [...]

This series of masterfully written novellas will grab you and hold you. It is riveting and dark, but lightened with a touch of humor. The story is unpredictable with a shocking and clever end. The writing is so good and the killer’s first person narration is so compelling that I know you will end up reading all of them. For that reason I recommend starting with book one now. I am very impressed by this author and I’m sure you will be too!

This series is an excellent read, especially if you enjoy dark stories. John Cassian writes from the serial killer's point of view which provides interesting insight into how a maniac thinks. I couldn't put this down!
