The twist to this romance was the industry in which it took place, online game development. The characters' own hangups kept them apart until the very end. And yet, they were enjoyable to read about. This was a terrific modern day departure from a historical romance writer. Although I prefer other genres to romance, this held my interest all the way through.

I had some expectations going into this book from the premise and the heat implications on the cover. The book starts off a bit slow and is written very 'proper'. It sounded a bit stiff and very 'English', especially in the dialogue. Over description was an issue and slowed down the reading pace quite a bit.I did like the book because of the gaming company aspect. I found that unique and quite enjoyable, as I myself could be classified as a 'gamer girl'. I did find it a bit strange for Sarah to [...]

I gambled on Gamer Girl and hit the Jackpot!I'm not one to read a book and give 4 or 5 stars ESPECIALLY if I'm not moved to believe it's a good book. I'm all for encouraging people to perfect their craft but I'm also not going to lie to potential buyers/customers (I hate when I find out I've been deceived). With that being said, I enjoyed this book. The characters were real (felt like people you would know or a story you heard via eavesdropping). I'm so glad I read this story because it was a nic [...]

This is a book I didn't think that I'd like, but I was wrong. My friend recommended it to me and she usually knows what I like. It didn't have a lot of sex, but some, which was fine. It's a romance story set in an industry I knew nothing about--the video game industry. There was just enough information about video games to make the story interesting, but not too much to bore you. I'm not a gamer, but I thought the love story worked very well in that setting. Sometimes the hero came across as a l [...]

So glad to see a book about video games that actual seems to be written by someone who knows what their talking about. Whether it's experience or quality research I salute you Ms. Willow. My one complaint is the sexism in Gryphon World. While I'm sure IRL there is plenty of sexism in game companies, this is escapist fiction after having voting on the sexist babe, etc. The heroine shouldn't have taken it as such a compliment. While complimentary that kind of behavior isn't right and Sarah shouldn' [...]

Loved everything about this book. I am not into games, but this was a great read. Kept me on my toes and found myself rooting for the team! Don't hesitate to get this one, it is a very well written book.
