      Dr. Besser is remarkably well respected at CDC and many were sad when he left the organization, but I think his love of public health and preventative medicine is better used in his current post as ABC Senior Medical Correspondant. With his personable nature, and educated delivery, he can reach a far wider audience than people in my profession ever could.       I am nearly done with the book, and now use it more as a reference than a book I'd read from front to back. Basic but easy to understand, informative and politically correct. I have found it useful for many common questions about the effects of sleep, sugar, nutrition, weight loss and overall health.

      Yawn. I checked this out of the library because I thought I might learn something of interest. Not so. This book if laid out in a question-and-answer style. The questions asked may have come from those people living under a rock because they were all common knowledge. On the plus side, the doctor seems like a genuinely nice guy.

      Overall this was informative, but I preferred If Our Bodies Could Talk: A Guide to Operating and Maintaining a Human Body. Similar idea, very different execution.
