Oh, my God! What did just happen? I love when I pick up book and have no clue what it's about and fall in love with it. This one is definitely on my to read agin list!

Well this book was hot, hot, hot and steamy. With an accompanying good and interesting storyline and a happy love story kind of ending. I was very pleased with this.Did I mention it was hot and steamy? Like mind-blowing, in-need-of-a-cold-shower kind of hot and steamy? Those scenes were wheewwww!

Without doubt Barbara writes some of THE BEST M/M/F stories!!Worlds Apart is a paranormal/fantasy about the power of love following the journey of Taylor, Niall, and Roo. It is set in a country home in modern day England with a magical portal at the bottom of the garden. I absolutely LOVED all three characters. They had me rolling with laughter, swooning and umm other stuff ;0)So did they meetTaylor moves back to his estate with a view to sell it, finds Niall living in the house working as the g [...]

I loved this book so much that I know it is already part of my reread list.A love story, a few mysteries and a fantasy fairies story out of the blue are tangled together and they produce an irresistible book.Niall, Taylor and Roo will fall in love. No, this is not correct. Actually Niall was already in love with Taylor and then he fell in love with Roo. And Roo fell in love with Niall firstly and then she fell in love with Taylor. And Taylor was lusting over Niall and Roo but he fell in love wit [...]

Gennie's review posted on Guilty PleasuresThis is a fabulous book!!! Worlds Apart by Barbara Elsborg is a MMF story about the power of love, and it is also a paranormal/fantasy book with the focus on a parallel faery world with a portal in an English walled garden. The story starts out in modern day Leeds, England but things are not always as they appear. Ms. Elsborg weaves together the captivating main characters of Taylor, Niall, and Roo with heart and humor. While Taylor’s action at first a [...]

4.5 stars rounded upThis book has a terrible official blurb. It does not do the book, or the characters, justice. Which is an absolute shame. If you like M/M/F ménages, then just ignore it and have a read for yourself.Having said that, this book was a good read. It has so much I like -A ménage - M/M/FTerrific characters who you want to see happyContemporary settingExcellent paranormal aspects that took me by surpriseHumourSexy writingA mystery componentIt's well written and editedWorld's Apart [...]

Well, that was different. I've read enough Elsborg to know that I like her stuff and very rarely am I disappointed with her work. No difference this time. What was different about this was that it starts out very much like any other contemporary romance and gradually morphs into paranormal with faeries and yes, werewolves (but I'll get to that later - it's good). Listen folks I very rarely read about faeries, there's just something about them that creeps me out. But I gotta say that Elsborg made [...]

I laughed. A lot!Less gratuitous sex then the other book by Ms. Elsborg that I read earlier today (ooops yesterday) and it was so funny!I really love her characters. They're not just cardboard cutouts that roughly mark the place a character would exist and they have, you know, emotions and stuff that ACTUALLY DRIVE THE PLOT!!! XDIt would have been great if it was shorter - not from any real desire that I have, just for my own convenience, because then I would have gotten more sleep!!! I like the [...]

Took me a while to get into this one, and figure out where the hell it was all leading to, when I finally did, it hit me this is all paranormal, I've never read paranormal before. Started off a lil slow, with 3 different POV that at times , I got a lil confused as to who was the MC, at that moment in time , I loved Roo, loved her, she stole the show for sure, insightful, witty, sometimes a bit of an airhead! Taylor, he's a total loaf, I didn't connect with him, he just seemed heartless, self cen [...]

I want to give this book 4 stars, but just can't. The writing was good, I liked the plot, it was very interesting and quite amusing! However, it was so sappy at the end I nearly gagged, and the love conquers all shit was just tooo fucking much. It was too hokey, too prevalent, too blatant, too fucking stupid. If it weren't for the message' I'd have really liked this book. But there was just too much preaching type of messaging in the book for me to enjoy. And I didn't like the ending. I thought [...]

Yep! Another fabulous and delicious m/m/f read by Barbara. Characters who will make you laugh out loud! Romance to melt your heart and the sex will make your toes curl! And a little of the fantastical wonders of a faery-land.

    13. Alexis Fountain

It took me a bit to actually get into this book if I'm honest. I did quite like how the characters were so willing to sacrifice so much because of their love for one another. That mixed with the steamy bits made this a good book.

    14. ~ Lei ~ Reading Is An Adventure ~

Roo has a very convoluted thinking process (yet it made sense) and I haven't laughed so much with a book in a while. Plus it's excellent Barbara Elsborg writing and an mmf romance. Yum. This is actually quite a long book and it started to drag near the end but I think it will be a reread.

2.75 stars I love Mrs. Elsborg BUT this fantasy novel didn't do anything for me. I expected more from this than what I got.

    16. KimberlyRose

Fun. Alluringly mysterious. Creative, sexy scenes with delicious build-up. Bizarrely, believable fantasy. A compelling pinch of trouble and angst, but a heaping cup of feel good. Written like a boss!

    17. Anansigirl

Loved Roo and Niall. Excellently executed cross-over between worlds.Reminded me of Sophie Oak's Faery trilogy. Hope there's more in this universe.

DNF @ 65%. Ugh, this book is a mess. The plot is pretty much incomprehensible - I'm halfway through and there's still not any coherent storyline. I know from the blurb that Niall is supposed to be cursed or something, but what that's supposed to mean isn't very clear in the book. The romance is unconvincing, although the sex is decent. So far the word "bi" has appeared once, and not actually being used by a character who might possibly identify as bi, although the word "gay" shows up plenty of t [...]

I went into this book blind, not realizing that there is a strong fantasy element. I was intrigued by the mystery of Niall. The author did a good job at dropping tidbits along the way, allowing the reader to gradually piece together what is going on. I adored Roo. She is a really off-the-wall character who constantly had me chuckling. Taylor, well, he was mostly a giant ass and even though an explanation for why this is, was eventually given, it still didn't mitigate his generally terrible behav [...]

    20. Toya

I rated the book 4 out of 5 stars, bc overall it had all the elements I like, but omg Roo was like Bridget Jones on steroids! If she was a real person, I'd put a picture of her in the dictionary next to the definition of a DINGLEBERRY! She was so obnoxious that it was hard to imagine her in any of the sexy situations in the book. I enjoy some humor makes it to my sex, but Roo was too much of a disaster for me in a lot of instances throughout the book.

    21. Linda

This book brought me to tears it is hilariously funny and also tragically sad in parts - I absoluely devoured it and have added it to my fave pile to be read again - I cannot give it higher praise Luvved it!

Come to My GardenI agreed to buddy read with a friend and had no idea what to expect here. There is a slightly mysterious element wafting as Taylor who has just extricated himself from a dead end relationship agrees to prepare his parents home for market. Upon arrival at the family manse he is unnerved by Naill’s domestic activity in addition to Naill himself. As we spend more time with them their chemistry is so apparent it would have been enough to take you through the first third of the boo [...]

I don't remember why I had this book on my "to read" list but I was looking for something to read over the holdiays and thought I'd knock it off of the list and I actually enjoyed it more than expected! The cover art should have alerted me to the level of steamyness that was contained within but I was still surprised (and not in a bad way). However, I really feel that the story could have been pulled apart into two and was enjoying the writing that I found myself wishing there was more to the st [...]

    24. Lee Anne - OMG! It's TOOOOO Cold!

Worlds Apart is a wonderful story about three people from different worlds who fall in love. It's touching and heartwrenching and filled with joy and sorrow.Niall risked everything, and I mean everything, to win Taylor's love. If he doesn't get Taylor to love him, he'll die. Along the way Roo comes into their lives and brings Taylor and Niall together. But will they survive Niall's mother, the faery queen bitch?I enjoyed this story and found myself running the gauntlet of emotions. Everything fr [...]

Barbara Elsborg is a good writer, but this contemporary menage tale didn't quite hit the mark for me. I thought the pacing was off (oddly frantic), and would have appreciated the story being told more from the POV of Niall, the faery. (Hopefully that's not a spoiler.) The characters of Taylor and Roo are not that compelling, though Roo is a basket case. Unfortunately, the beauty and mystery of the story were marred by Roo's goofiness and Taylor's unpleasant personality. I never found the softnes [...]

A ménage à trois (hármas felállás) kifejezetten erotikus regények témája szokott lenni, ahol a szexjelenetekhez azért minimális körítést hozzá szoktak csapni. Nem is vártam sokat a könyvtől, inkább a paranormális vonatkozás miatt kezdtem bele. Aztán elindult a történet. És volt történet! Jöttek a szereplők, volt személyiségük, voltak problémáik és voltak érzelmek is. Egyre jobban tetszett! Nem borult össze a másikkal senki két mondat után, és a paranormál [...]

I have read many menage books, and I will not go as far as to say this is the best but it is up there! The story line was so unique!I loved all the characters. I am always a fan of a strong heroine. While I would not exactly classify Roo as "strong" she was definitely spunky with her own odd little personality. Taylor was a hard one, but he fit the dynamic of Niall and Roo well. Niall of course, who wouldn't love a man that bakes?! Lol. A lot of the times stories with a paranormal elements in th [...]

    28. Heather ~ Marceline

This was an enjoyable book with quite a bit of humor mixed in with the steamy scenes and a bit of paranormal storyline. I loved Roo's character, her craziness was great. Niall's devotion to Taylor and then his realization that Roo too, meant a great deal to him, was a wonderful story. I could have done with a little less moodiness from Taylor, however, he was dealing with some life changing decisions, so you can't really blame the guy. I love paranormal romances, so I didn't mind the twist to th [...]
