This is it. The final of a beloved series. I cried, I laughed I laughed with my eyes full of tears. I am going to miss Tamaki. And Haruhi. And the Club. And the fans. And Antoinette. It was It IS a perfect ending. When Haruhi confesses her feelings. When everyone (and I mean, everyone) helps Tamaki get to the airport to see his mom. When they have their first date and the rest of the Club are there to save Tamaki. When Haruhi gets her scholarship to study in Boston and Tamaki moved out with her. A [...]

So its the end. I had tears (VERY LITTLE) in my eyes when I saw the last chapter. The ending wasnt very the kind of completely ennnnndddddddd ending. The story seems to continue in all readers mind but with many different plot. It seems af if its still alive. It amazing how the characters change through the series especially the twins. They got really mature at the end. Tamaki is just as *insert whatever word you want* as ever. And the story seem more realistic as the characters do graduate!!

Re-read 18/7/17I still love this series, even after reading it 3 times. It always brings a smile to my face and gives me all the feels. It still amazes me how much I love the characters. When I first started the series I would have never though the characters would become so fleshed out. I loved how this volume contains "peaks at the futures" of the host club members, as well as various supporting characters. My favourite future was Hunny's! I love him and Reiko <3 My favourite episode in thi [...]

Wow, when was the last time I’ve finished a book and gotten the chance to sit down with a good cup of tea and write a review about it? *thinks about it* *PAGE NOT FOUND* I’ve never been one to write a ‘professional’ book review as it too often results to become more of a personal reflection and rant. Today is no exception I think I can speak on behalf of the community here, I’ve been in a disgusting reading slump for the past 10 months now. Prior these two weeks, I’ve been shamel [...]

I cannot believe I'm about to type this but: THIS WAS ACTUALLY BETTER THAN "DEATH NOTE". Oh GodWhat really drew me to reading the Manga was the beautiful art. Bisco Hatori has become my favourite manga artist. Her attention to background detail is amazing. I find many artists just focus on the characters and seem to forget about the scenery around said characters. You could really tell she cared about detail. Now for the story! Despite being a "romantic comedy", this manga touched every emotion. [...]

I'm always sad when the last volume in a series rolls around, especially when it's one I have been reading for 7 years. I'm especially sad to see the end of this series, though, because it's become one of my favorites. Each of the characters has gone through a remarkable emotional transformation over the years, and yet still retain their core essence of irreverent joy. Much of the romantic tension was resolved in the previous volume, so this one was left with wrapping up the practicalities of ho [...]

Only going to write one review for the manga until I have enough time to go through it individually. After long obsessing over Ouran, I finished reading the manga on this day. 26 episodes and 18 volumes after and we've landed hereThough it may seem silly, this manga taught me a lot. I've learned about being myself, about how similar I am to these unforgettable (yet sometimes clueless) characters and about what I want to do. I used to think I knew what I wanted until I read this. While the charact [...]

Let me start out by saying that i will be writing one review for this manga. At first i had watched the anime that was adapted from this manga and i fell in love with the characters. It is a funny, cheesy kinda gender-bender romantic plot.Compared to the anime, the manga had far more details and other stories involved.Ok enough with the anime. As i mentioned before the plot is a comedy, cheesy romantic, gender-benderHaruhi is a scholarship student at an exclusive rich high school called Ouran Hig [...]

Finally got around to reading this after having it on my bookshelf for about 2 months! I wasn’t that excited about it because most of the later volumes seemed to lack the original Host Club magic and just amble around without a point but I was actually pleasantly surprised by this final volume. After a slightly shaky start it managed to recapture the light-hearted and humorous feel of the first half-dozen volumes. A good conclusion with enough fun injected to make me think back to the ‘good o [...]

I'm sad to say it is finally time to say good bye to our favorite cross-dressing heroine, Haruhi Fujioka. After 18 volumes, Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori is finally coming to an end. Since I have already reviewed the series, I am not going to go into any series detail, but I will say that this series got the ending it deserved and, more importantly, it made sense. I find that often with manga and anime, I get through the whole series and get to the last installment only to wonder w [...]

After wrestling back and forth with myself as to whether I'd mark all 18 books in the host club like I did with Fruit Basket, I decided to compromise and just mark this last one with a really high rating. Because I loved the ending.Who would think I'd fall for a manga? And one as irregular to my daily life as this? I ended up loving each member of the host club and their quirks. I think Kyoya is unfairly considered evil and conniving because there is more to his character then that. There is mor [...]

    13. Mia

Alright, I'll admit, that was a cute ending (though I'm pretty sure I'm still Team Hikaru). I probably would have rated this final book 3 stars if it wasn't for the Kyoya part. We find out a little bit about Kyoya throughout the series, but once again I was reminded that it's never really been enough. I want more of Kyoya, more of Hunny and his new girlfriend (what happened to her later in this volume?), way more of Mori (we get virtually nothing), and of course, more of my favourite Hitachiin t [...]

I would cry because it's over, but I can't stop laughing! I love Host Club, and I'm sad to see it go, but apparently she's going to write another series with the characters :3It was probably my favorite one. But WHY DON't THE GIRLS EVER UNDERSTAND THAT HARUHI IS A GIRL?! I love how they're totally convinced that she's just a gay guy. And HUNNY'S GROWTH SPURT IN THE LAST CHAPTER!!!! I was kinda sad about it, but he's adorable anyway

After a year of reading these mangas, I’ve finally reached the end. Ouran has been everything and more. I love this manga, I love these stories, I love these characters. I love everything. I’m sad to see it finally come to an end but it was such a wonderful ending to a wonderful series. I tremendously enjoyed reading these mangas and glad I was introduced to the Host Club. I can go on and on about the characters.Haruhi, she is truly a queen. I could relate to her sooooo much since Vol 1. Eve [...]

    17. Jack Worsley

It's very rare that I'm ever so attached to an entire cast of characters, even in novels. Whilst the plot lines have been great, it's the characters that have made this series so enjoyable to read. I'm very sad that I've come to the end of this story, but very happy that I finally took the time to read it :'3

Let me preface this post by saying I am a total noob (aka newbie) when it comes to manga and anime (graphic novels and comics, too, for that matter). My friend, Mike, is always sending me links to anime clips and giving me lists of stuff I should watch. Most of the time I think it's completely wackadoodle (like the one where there's a princess who is a ballerina who turns into a duckmething like that). I was hanging out with Mike and my other librarian friend, Lauren, and they teamed up and forc [...]

~4.5/5 (although the series is a solid 5)[Also available at my blog.]I love this series, you guys. Just thinking about it makes me happy and re-reading it gets me all excited again and, while this wasn’t quite what I thought it’d be, it was still awesome. And I seriously wonder if Hatori can do something that I don’t love. And I want her to do more and for it to get published over here so I can read it.This was the last volume of Ouran, which makes me so sad, because that means there’s n [...]

If you loved the anime, you are probably going to fall in love with the manga. It has all the crazy antics of the host club with never a dull moment but then it adds onto it with a much deeper story line. Though it loses its comedic value to an extent, the serious nature gives the characters so much more depth. This is one manga that I can say; you need to read it all even if you watched the manga because there is so much more to the stories that were shown on TV.There are a couple people who ch [...]

I'm going to comment on the series as a whole. The beginning is fun and entertaining, but along the eight or so volume the series goes downhill. Until last few volumes there is no progress whatsoever. I feel like this manga series is unnecessarily stretched out and to be honest in the middle of the series I became annoyed by some characters and because every serious situation in here is laughed off. But that was caused mainly by the lack of the progress and repetitiveness of the scenes in these [...]

owltellyouaboutit/posts/ouran-high-sch…club-volume-18/The final volume! It’s been a long road, and while I love the characters in the series, it was definitely time for the conclusion. There were a few volumes in there that I didn’t even bother to review because I didn’t enjoy them very much. There were also some really great volumes, and this was one of them. It was a great conclusion, and actually went in a direction I wasn’t expecting. This volume was really centered around Tamaki. H [...]

December 2013: 5 StarsFIRST of all, if I could rate this volume as being OUT OF THIS F***ING WORLD, I totally would. What a fantastic way to end the series!Although there were times when I wasn't as enthralled by the series, I'm so glad I stuck to it. The plot grew to be something so insanely well thought-out, written and executed that I have no complaints whatsoever.Incredible character development! The members of the Host Club, and their families, all grew to become such incredible people, all [...]

    24. Sesana

This marks the end of the series, and it seems like Bisco Hatori was allowed to end it in her own time. The plot threads seem to be mostly tied up, even if some things are left open. It gives the fans plenty to think about. I will say that I'm relieved that Tamaki's family drama has been resolved, because I was getting tired of it. The last few chapters are more like the silly series that I first read. That said, I do like how Tamaki and Haruhi starting a relationship is not seen as The End, and [...]

It's the end of Ouran High School Host Club. Volume eighteen is the final volume of the series. It is so weird to even type such a thing; Ouran seemed like the kind of series that could go on forever, chronicling the romantic antics of Haruhi and the host club. But in a way, I'm glad it ended in this way and that the ending did not turned out rushed or forced, but was natural and was something Hatori planned in advance. In fact, the eighteenth and final volume of Ouran was, in one word, perfect. [...]

Haruhi is one of my favorite manga characters of all time. She is funny and strong even against a bushel of guys (strange kinds of guys by the way, but they are lovable too!) Even though all of the guys fit in their own individual stereotype that is exactly what makes the series as a whole so funny and enjoyable. The relationship between Haruhi and Tamaki is epic and I can tell you for a fact that I will be re-reading this series many times in the future!I would really recommend watching the ani [...]

NO! Not the end, please not the end! It's very sad, but this was just SO brilliant. Truly, truly wonderful- like all the things you've been leading up to and loving throughout, it's all here. And just because it's the end and it's sad, do you think there is less humor? Because there is absolutely N.O.T.

    28. Su

Excellent, uberly happy ending to a very memorable series. All loose ends are tied up nicely and Haruhi and Tamaki turn out to be a more adorable couple than I'd imagined. This volume chronicles their first date and a few other spoilery developments that I'll refrain from discussing here. Just suffice to say this is an excellent ending that won't disappoint Ouran fans.
